Chichen Itza Ikil and Coba Tour
The itinerary star will pick you up at your hotel. Depending if the tour is in the Riviera Maya or Cancun, and as this is your Private Tour, you can set the time between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, but we always recommend people to start the earliest possible; such as 6:00 am in order that when we arrive to Chichen Itza it’s not that hot.
We will make our first technical stop on the way to Chichen Itza so you can use the bathroom and starch your legs for a bit.
Then we will continue to Chichen Itza where our professional guide will take us into the ruins, giving us a whole explanation about the ancient Mayan culture, the most important buildings at this historical place, the astronomy scriptures, and traditional Mayan food. Then you will have some free time to explore for yourself.
After two hours at Chichen Itza we will continue our tour to a very famous cenote called Ikil where you can refresh yourself and admire the beauty of this great natural pool within the heart of the Mayan jungle, where you also can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, including a salad bar, pasta, typical Mayan dishes, beef, chicken, pork and dessert. Drinks are not included.
In this same place you can use the facilities, as well you may want to do some shopping for original Mayan souvenirs and handicrafts.
Our last stop will be at Coba, situated around two lagoons and thought to have been first habited around 100 B.C., with an approximate population of 50,000 people. The site contains several large structures with “Nohoch Mul” at 42 meters tall which you may still climb. Coba continued to grow and be a powerful community for Yucatan, controlling the trading routes and being the center of agriculture.
